 Margaree- great base for travelling the Cabot Trail; close to parks, museums , fine dining, beaches.  Traditional Celtic music played in the area on a regular basis. great motels and bed & breakfasts available.

Baddeck- beginning and end of the Cabot Trail.  Alexander Graham Bell Museum, Bell Bay Golfing (best new course in Canada!).  Great base for travelling the Cabot Trail; lots of great places to stay; shopping, sailing and fine dining.

Cheticamp - Acadian culture; great base for visiting the Cape Breton Highlands National Park; golfing, hiking, salmon fishing, beaches, night life and museums.  
 

Pleasant Bay - Cape Breton's newest attraction (Whale Interpretive Center); world-famous whale watching, moose and seafood (Rusty Anchor Restaurant).  Limited accommodations available; motels, and B&B
